Andrew Larigakis RIBA Architect AIBC MRAIC LEED®AP CSBA
Andrew has twenty-five years of experience in architecture and construction. He has worked on award-winning and widely published projects and is recognized in the industry for exceptional design ability married to technical expertise and exemplary team management and coordination skills.
After graduating in Architecture from the University of Waterloo, he moved to London, England to work and for further study. Since returning to Canada in 1995, he has successfully completed many large and complex projects. His primary focus is on institutional, recreational and residential projects and he is a leader in the field of Sustainable Design with his specialist expertise and extensive experience.
Bringing with him the diverse skills honed in some of Canada’s best-known firms, he founded his own studio in 2012. His focus continues to be on excellence in design and execution – and on green building.
Andrew is very involved with the community. He has been involved in teaching and lecturing at the University of Waterloo, the British Columbia Institute of Technology, Quest University and the University of British Columbia. He recently served as Chair of the City of North Vancouver Advisory Design Panel.
Preeti Pahwa MArch BArch COA
With degrees in Architecture and over 12 years of work experience, Preeti has a strong understanding of the relationship between design and construction.
Since starting work at Larigakis Architecture in 2018, Preeti has worked on numerous projects including institutional buildings at UBC and residential projects. She is involved in all aspects of work including design, working drawings and contract administration.
Before moving to Canada, she founded and managed her own architectural studio in Chandigarh, India for 8 years. The studio was involved in planning, designing and constructing diverse architecture and interior design projects, both in the public and private realm – with a focus on Passive Design. Preeti has taught design and construction in architectural schools in India and designed technical audio-visual courses on various topics related to sustainability for USGBC Education. She believes that a successful design project results from the strong understanding of the context and the end users.
