Heritage renovation – Vancouver, BC
This Vancouver residential renovation project for a professor of Chinese Literature included the creation of a new kitchen and associated space within a listed heritage building in the West End of Vancouver. The design respects the existing building while incorporating a modern kitchen and space for the client’s collection of ceramics and art.
The project is simple, modern and warm. Working closely with the client, a materials palette was chosen consisting of cherry cabinets, solid surface countertops, ceramic tile and stainless steel for the appliances.
A close involvement of the architect for the duration of the project helped reduce delays and other issues during construction and ensured a quality result.
